I created copy that will appear both online and in print to promote new residential communities in Nevada (Elkhorn Grove) and Florida (Retreat at Town Center).

Area Highlight

Area highlights appear in marketing materials for communities in especially noteworthy, desirable areas. I wrote the area highlight for Manhasset Crest, a community in Manhasset, Long Island, New York.

Community Namings

I have worked with my copy team colleagues to create fresh, original names for communities throughout the country, drawing on local and historical inspiration.

Click here to view a presentation that we put together for a community in Smyrna, Georgia. We drew inspiration from baseball (since the community is located close to the Atlanta Braves stadium), flowers (since Smyrna is known as “the Jonquil city”), and ancient Greece (since there was a Greek port city called Smyrna founded in the 11th century BC). Ultimately, the chosen name was one of my suggestions, Birch Alley, which fell into the baseball category.

We drew inspiration from local landmarks, including nearby parks and natural features, native plants and crops, and more. Ultimately, the chosen name was one of my suggestions, Freestone Station, which acts as a subtle nod to Georgia’s significance as one of the top peach-producing states.

Collections

In addition to naming communities, I have created names for collections (groups of individual home designs within a community) and home designs. Since Boerne, Texas community Regency at Esperanza has a Spanish name, I suggested naming the collections after traditional Spanish dances (see below).
